Our cows supply us with our daily milk, the only problem is that someone has to get up nice and early to get it! Everyone has a chance to milk the cows, and the competition to gather the most milk is fierce.

We try to go on at least 4 musters with every school. One of these musters will be a sheep muster. Once the sheep have been rounded up and yarded back near the homestead, it is the students turn to try to catch them, learn how to draft and sometimes drench and shear them.
Fencing skills are vital for the maintenance of any property and you will be introduced to all the skills necessary to cut and prepare posts, position them in a dead straight line and most importantly, prevent them from all falling over! During a fencing day we can also build yards, or cattle grids or help with the debarking of trees. Pasture improvement and weed chipping are also important tasks on a farm.
